Python swallows lamb

Wanparthy: A python was caught while it was swallowing a lamb on the road side of National Highway 44 in Pebbair mandal of Wanaparthy district on Thursday. 

The incident came to light, when few farmers who cited a huge python while it curled around the small lamb and engulfed it almost full in the fields adjacent to the national highway. 

They soon informed about the incident to the snake catching experts in the district, who later swung into action and rescued the reptile. Before the snake catchers could come, the python had already fully swallowed the lamb. The python was said to be weighing more than 10 kilograms was later handed over to the forest department officials.
