TDP red-faced over KCR’s outburst against Naidu

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam party (TDP) State unit president L Ramana strongly condemned the outburst of caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao against TDP national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Ramana said K Chandrashekar Rao will face people’s ire and will be punished.

Speaking to media at NTR trust bhavan here on Thursday, Ramana criticised Chandrashekar Rao for using unparliamentarily words against Chandrababu Naidu in a public meeting at Nizamabad. Ramana questioned the caretaker Chief Minister as to why he had an alliance with the TDP in 2009 elections and why he was opposing alliance between the TDP and the Congress now. He also alleged that TRS leaders were provoking people and tying to use Telangana sentiment to retain power again. “The TRS leaders should mind their language, otherwise we can also talk in the same manner,” he said.

The TDP State unit chief said, “Mahakutami” was formed to free Telangana State from the clutches of K Chandrashekar Rao’s family rule. He said Telangana was a rich State, but the TRS rule pushed the State into debt trap. Alleging that the caretaker Chief Minister was leading a lavish lifestyle in Pragathi Bhavan at the cost of public money, Ramana said a vote for the TRS is like giving a vote to the BJP.
