Hyderabad: GHMC removes posters, banners in the city
After the Chief Election Commissioner OP Rawat announced the election schedule in Telangana, the GHMC has geared up to remove all the posters and banners of all the political parties in the city.
The move has come after Rawat clarified that the model code of conduct was in force in Telangana.
The GHMC additional commissioner Musharraf Faruqui took to micro-blogging site Twitter saying that all the banners, hoardings are being removed in the state to conduct free and fair elections.

Under the model of conduct, the political parties should get prior permission from the police for organising public meetings. The parties also should not promote any programmes and bribe the voters.
Telangana is going to hold the elections on December 7, 2018.
