TRS candidate violating model code: CPM

Khammam : The Two-Town secretary of CPM, Y Vikram on Sunday alleged that the officials of Khammam Municipal Corporation are behaving negligently in removing of banners, flexies, stickers and posters of former MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar even after the Election Commission of India imposed certain restrictions and issued model code of conduct.

He was speaking at a meeting of the leaders of Two Town Committee of the party at Sundarayya Bhavan in Khammam. Y Vikram alleged that by investing crores of rupees, TRS candidate Ajay Kumar is doing publicity using flexies, hoardings, banners, posters and stickers which is against the model code of conduct issued by the Election Commission.

He said that even after complaining on several occasions about the flexies and banners that are installed against the rules by the TRS candidate Puvvada Ajay Kumar, the officials of KMC are behaving negligently in the taking actions. He demanded the KMC officials to remove the flexies, banners and hoardings of Ajay Kumar immediately and take necessary action against him.

If the officials do not oblige and follow the orders of the Election Commission, complaints will be lodged to EC along with dragging officials to court, he warned. CPM leaders Ganta Bheemaiah, N Chiranjeevi, Sathya, Vijaya Sujatha, Venkateshwarlu, Lalitha and Narsamma  and others attended the meeting.
