Use social media to highlight TRS govt’s failures
Khammam: The Social Media Cell’s (SMC) State convenor Shankar on Sunday appealed to the people to use various social platforms to tell the people about the anti-people’s policies adopted by the TRS government.
He was addressing a workshop of the district leaders of the organisation at Manchikanti Bhavan in Khammam. Shankar alleged that the TRS government which utterly failed in fulfilling its poll promises suppressed the voice of media and freedom of speech which is the fundamental right of every citizen.
To take the failures of the TRS government to the people use social media platforms through different ways and teach the TRS party a fitting lesson which deceived the innocent people using Telagnana sentiment, he appealed.
Social media is a powerful media which is revolutionizing the world in present days. In any part of the world there are no restrictions in its usage. But keeping restrictions on its usage by the Election Commission of India is not justifiable and akin to opposing of freedom of expression, he opined.
He urged the EC to lift the restrictions on usage of social media platforms during the upcoming Assembly elections. The representatives of the District Social Media Cell, Kalyanam Venkateshwar Rao, Yerra Vikram, S K Basheer, Ch. Ramesh, R Prakash and others were present on the occasion.
