16-year-old dies of medical negligence

Jeedimetla: A 16-year-old Sathvik Reddy, an intermediate student, died at Srikar Hospital in Kompally due to alleged doctor’s negligence on Sunday. The youth was admitted into the hospital for hydrocele operation on Saturday. The operation started at 5 pm and he was declared dead around 10 pm. Parents alleged that the doctor who gave anesthesia left the operation table, saying that his duty timings were over, and another doctor continued with the operation. 

Medical tests were conducted prior to admitting to the hospital. However, the parents suspect that operation was conducted without conducting prior tests based on the results of earlier tests. The relatives and friends of the patient staged a protest and demanded justice.
