Implement model code of conduct strictly: Collector RV Karnan

Khammam: District Collector RV Karnan on Monday ordered electoral officials to implement the model code of conduct across the district strictly.

A special awareness programme was conducted for the nodal officers, MPDO’s, flying squads and static surveillance teams about the implementation of the model code of conduct in view of coming up Assembly elections here at the Technical Training and Development Centre in Khammam.

Addressing the programme, Karnan said that by creating special Whatsapp groups, in coordination with each other, the officials must implement the model code of conduct strictly in the district.

The MPDO’s are appointed as nodal officers. Every MPDO must implement the MCC strictly in his respective mandal. By giving training to one of the member of flying squad or static surveillance team conduct awareness programmes about the implementation of model code of conduct, ordered the Collector.

The static surveillance team by establishing special checkposts in every constituency, must conduct vigorous checking without creating any inconvenience to farmers and normal public. At the time of seizing the illegal amount, convey the details of the seized amount to the concerned Expenditure Nodal Officer.

The district Joint Collector Ayesha Masrath Khanam explained the officials who attended the awareness programme about the model code of conduct to be implemented through power point presentation.

The Expenditure Nodal Officer Akhilchand, in-charge Revenue Officer Madan Gopal, Nodal Officer, flying squads, static surveillance teams, special teams and Election Deputy Tahasildar Rambabu attended the meeting.
