The CPI on Monday hailed the recent verdict of High Court order asking the State government to implement Rythu Bhandu scheme to 6 farmers who had lost their lands under the Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project (PRRLI) under Vattem reservoir.

“Land is a valuable commodity and once it is lost, the farmers who are living will have a long lasting impact not just for his family, but also the future generations of his family will lose livelihood.

Therefore, we are demanding the state government to implement the HC order to all the farmers in the state who have lost their lands and protect the interests of the poor farmers who have lost their lively hold,” said Paramesh Goud, CPI district secretary Mahbubnagar.

To this effect, the CPI leaders conducted a meeting with members of Telangana State Farmers Association on Monday and discussed the issue with the farmer’s community. “The recent HC verdict is really a welcome verdict.

The Telangana government has misled the farmers in the name of projects and grabbed the valuable agriculture lands from them. They promised to offer jobs to each household who lost lands under projects. But till date not a single person has been provided land. TRS government brought in the GO 2013, using which it forced the farmers to hand over their lands” said Paramesh goud.

The CPI leader alleged that both the TRS and BJP parties have fooled the people of Telangana. As major promises of TRS and BJP parties have been left un-implemented, they do not have the moral value to ask for votes from the public, observed the CPI leader.
