Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao is all set to embark on a whirlwind poll campaigning covering length and breadth of the state in the next 50 days. KCR held Praja Aashirwad meetings in Husnabad, Nizamabad, Nalgonda and Wanaparthy prior to release of election schedule. MLAs representing different constituencies in respective district attended these meetings along with hordes of supporters. However, from here on TRS chief will be holding constituency-wise public meetings. Initially he will cover segments represented by ministers and senior leaders and later in constituencies represented by TRS MLAs.

With less time on hand and major festivals falling in October and November months, KCR will be addressing two meetings a day in October and he is expected to hold two to three meetings a day in November to make up for the lost time. Election campaigning will be given a break on Bathukamma, Dasara and Diwali festival days.

Pink brigade is also preparing audio CDs of folk songs, with lyrics touching development works and welfare initiatives taken up TRS government in last four years. Opposition parties and their opportunistic approach will also find a mention in these songs. Noted poet and writer Desapathi Srinivas has been tasked with the job of preparing these audio CDs, which will be released shortly and distributed to party candidates in all 119 segments.

KCR's public meetings in Warangal and Khammam in October first week have been cancelled. Though the party has not announced any reason, insiders say this decision was taken owing to rebel trouble in some of the segments.

KCR's son and minister K T Rama Rao has successfully buried differences among ticket aspirants in some of the constituencies in last three weeks and he is likely to be preoccupied with same task in coming days as elections near. KTR has been assuring rebels of important posts in government thus ending dissent.

Meanwhile, names of candidates for the 14 assembly segments, which was kept pending since release of first list with 105 candidates on October 6, is likely to be released phase-wise in coming days. The party leadership has communicated about ticket to some of them internally and also gave directions to take up campaigning.
