MEP chief alleges plot to defame her
- False cases foisted to stall MEP growth: Nowheera
- Accuses opponents of being jealous of her growth as she is woman
- Says she entered politics to usher in a big change in politics
Somajiguda: Mahila Empowerment Party (MEP) founder Nowheera Shaik on Tuesday said that false cases were being foisted against her by those who want to stall the growth of her business and stop women from entering politics.
Social activist and business entrepreneur Nowheera Shaik entered into politics by launching MEP to bring about a big change in the current political arena.
Addressing the media at Somajiguda Press Club here, Nowheera said, “By observing the growth of women and MEP, many are trying to bring me down.
False cases have been lodged against my companies. But all these tricks won’t work as we are working with an idea to attain 100 per cent social security, especially to the underprivileged.”
“70 years have passed since independence, many reforms have been announced various political parties to uplift the downtrodden, but in reality the execution of legislations for reforms has not taken place and many communities still await social security and social equality,” said Nowheera .
She appealed to and welcomed professionals, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, social activists, NGOs and student leaders to join MEP to work for development of women in all sectors, more so in in political arena.
