Swaroop Colony gets a good road at last

Uppal: The Hans India carried a news report on ‘Uppal roads turn from bad to worse’ in February 19 edition. Swaroop Reddy Colony in Uppal had bad roads with poor road safety measures. The colony people had been constantly complaining about the issue for a long time. 

Seven months since the publication of the article, the road has been re-laid by the municipal corporation. It took so long because of the tendering and other technical processes, as per the GHMC officials. 

Swaroop Colony president Mahendar Reddy regularly made efforts for better roads as many schools and orphanage in colony and resident suffered.  Commuters were facing risk of accidents plying on the during the night time. The residents appreciated the work of The Hans India and Mahendar Reddy.
