Give your 60 days, we will take care of you for 60 months: KTR to cadre
Hyderabad: Caretaker IT Minister K T Rama Rao on Wednesday asked the party cadre to give their 60 days to the party and said that the party would take care of them for the next 60 months instead.
The Minister was addressing a gathering at Telangana Bhavan where TDP leaders from Devarakonda joined the TRS. He called upon the party leaders to give their 60 days and assured to take care of them for the next five years.
Rama Rao asked the people not to believe the Congress for their promises. “They are making promises which are un-implementable. They say they will provide loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh at one go. If that is the case, why they are not implementing the same in Punjab and Karnataka? Do not believe them and decide on which side you want to be,” said Rama Rao referring to a song in a Telugu movie.
Rao said that some parties lose their presence when a State is divided. When Jharkhand was separated from Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal was wiped out as people clearly said RJD was a party of Bihar. Similarly, people of Telangana feel that Telugu Desam is a party of Andhra Pradesh and it was clear from the GHMC results as it won only one out of 150 divisions, he said.
The TRS leader criticised the Telugu Desam party for alliance with the Congress. “The TDP was formed by ‘Anna’ NTR (N T Rama Rao) only to throw the Congress into Bay of Bengal and to see that the Telugus do not become Delhi slaves. But, the TDP leaders have forged alliance with the Congress, he pointed out.
Stating that the surveys by several news agencies predicted the TRS winning 80 to 90 seats, Rao said that in the coming two months these surveys would again predict that the TRS will score a century.
