CPM demands sanitary upkeep as residents fall sick

Khammam: CPM Two Town secretary Y Vikram on Thursday alleged that the people are living in miserable conditions with no proper development in certain divisions in the city.

The CPM Two Town Committee members submitted a memorandum to the officials of Khammam Municipal Corporation requesting them to take immediate steps for providing basic facilities which are essential for the people who are living in the city.

Y Vikram alleged that the TRS government and its leaders developed only those areas where rich people live and neglected other colonies in the city. There are no proper drains and the surroundings in most of the colonies are looking like a dumping yards without any measures of sanitation.

Because of it the people living in these colonies are facing with lot of problems. Because of lack of proper sanitation in the localities, the residents are suffering from viral fever and other seasonal diseases, he added.

There are no street light in many colonies especially on the NSP main road where many girl hostels are locate. The girls students are living in fearful atmosphere and are facing lots of problems, he added.

He demanded the officials of KMC to take measures for cleaning the heaps of garbage in the colonies and arranging street lights immediately. CPM leaders Narra Ramesh, Kukkala Guru Murthy, Bhukya Upendra, SK Hussain and Devalla Veera Babu among others were present on the occasion.
