C M Ramesh arrives in Hyderabad to open bank lockers

Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Income Tax department asked TDP MP and A P Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's confidant CM Ramesh to arrive Hyderabad and unlock his highly secured lockers at his residence in Banjara Hills on Saturday. The lockers can be opened only with CM Ramesh’s fingerprints.   “My wardrobe consisting clothes would only open with my fingerprints on it, so I-T officials called me when I was in Delhi meeting other MPs,” Ramesh said.

Since  8.00 a.m on Friday, over 60 I-T officers have been conducting raids at CM Ramesh’s residences in Hyderabad and Potladurthi in Kadapa district and also on Rithwik Projects Private Limited (a company owned by his relatives). “I will give all investigation details by I-T officials to media. I-T officials are free to investigate all my bank transactions any time they want,” said CM Ramesh while addressing the media at his residence in Hyderabad on Saturday Evening. 

IT officials also raided one of the companies Rithwik Projects Pvt. Ltd in Banjara Hills as CM Ramesh was known to be promoting it. “The company has been existing for the past 25 years and no one has ever questioned on its relevance,” he said. IT officials seized key documents and computer hard discs from the company and also questioned chairpersons of Rithwik Projects C M Rajesh (brother of CM Ramesh) and G Govardhan Naidu (brother in-law of CM Ramesh).
