TRS suspends Ramulu Naik
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Monday suspended MLC and Tribal leader Ramulu Naik from the party on charges of anti-party activities. Ramulu Naik had reportedly met Congress in-charge R C Khuntia at Golconda hotel on Sunday.
According to sources, it is said that the tribal leader of TRS is unhappy over denial of ticket by the party in the ensuing election. He was expecting a ticket from Narayankhed. However, with the party’s policy of giving ticket to sitting MLAs, the ticket was given to sitting MLA M Bhupal Reddy in Narayankhed. Naik had reportedly asked for a ticket from Yellendu both being ST reserved.
TRS general secretary Palla Rajeshwar Reddy on Monday said that Ramulu Naik has been suspended for anti-party activities. Rajeshwar Reddy said that it has come to the notice of the party that for some time now, MLC Ramulu Naik has been involving in anti-party activities. He has been suspended from the TRS as per the decision of the party leadership, said Rajeshwar Reddy.
