BJP resents Shashi Tharoor’s remarks

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit on Tuesday alleged that the Congress was clearly against the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya following the statement of senior leader Shashi Tharoor, who said that “Good Hindus don’t seek Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.” Addressing media on Tuesday, BJP chief spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao felt that the Congress had made it a chronic habit to insult Hindus every time.

“I challenge Congress President Rahul Gandhi and TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy to define who’s a good Hindu and who’s a bad Hindu,” he said. The Congress party is trying to swing both ways and has adopted a petty strategy to send Rahul Gandhi to temples and leave behind pseudo intellectuals like Shashi Tharoor and Navjot Singh Siddhu to insult Hindus and Indians, Rao fumed.

Referring to Siddhu’s comments on South India, Krishna Saagar Rao said, “South Indians are insulted with these comments. If Congress leaders like Pakistan so much, they should set up a party branch in Islamabad.” Congress Mukt North East is underway and will become a reality after five State elections, so will Congress Mukt Telangana. The Congress has nothing in South India except a backdoor entry in Karnataka and they will lose in entire South India after 2019 elections, he added.
