Bhadrachalam becomes smallest constituency in State
Bhadrachalam: After completion of the process of voters’ enrolment, the electoral officials released the voters list of all constituencies in the district. In and around the 23 mandals, the majority of the voters are women, according to the voters’ lists.
Among all the five consistencies in the district, Bhadrachalm, which is a ST reserved seat, has lowest number of voters which is a record. In the five mandals in the constituency reside 1, 33,756 voters. Thus the Bhadrachalam constituency secured the first place in the state for having least number of voters.
It is also a fact that Bhadrachalam had been the highest numberof voters in the united Andhdra Pradesh. There were two lakh voters in eight mandals. As four mandals of the constituency merged with Andhra Pradesh, nearly more than one lakh voters lost to the neighbouring State because of the bifurcation of AP. Now there are five mandals in the constituency.
According to the data released by the Election Commission, there are 160 polling stations in the five mandals of Bhadrachalam constituency. The The voters distribution is like that: Wazzedu – 17,189, Venkatapuram – 21,608, Charala- 27,543, Dummagudem – 30,096 and Bhadrachalm town 37,220 voters. According to sources due to being the smallest constituency, Bhadrachalam will be the first to announce result in the state in the elections.
