Cake mixing ceremony held
Hyderabad: Golkonda Hotel hosted its annual cake mixing ceremony over the weekend in full festive fervour.
This year, the resident chefs headed by Chef Venkatesh and General Manager Ashish, lead the event.

The cake made with using an interesting array of fruits and syrups, including raisins, glazed red cherries, orange peel, tutti frutti, black currants, dates, figs, dried apricots, figs, prunes and nuts like walnuts, cashew, almond flakes, pistachio, golden syrup, molasses, honey and vanilla essence, along spices such as ground cardamom, cinnamon and cloves.
The ingredients poured into a huge cauldron and kneaded with love and care. After the traditional cake mixing ceremony, the mixture was put into airtight bags and left to mature until Christmas, when it will be blended with the cake batter and baked.
