Uttam rushes to Delhi

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy rushed to Delhi on Wednesday morning to meet All India Congress Committee (AICC) leaders and discuss electoral issues. 

Along with the TPCC chief, Incharge of State party affairs RC Khuntia met party general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad in Delhi and discussed the poll preparation, selection of candidates and seat adjustments with the alliance partners. 

According to sources the TPCC chief and the Incharge also discussed joining of some important leaders from other parties, particularly from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). 

The sources said that few leaders of the TRS are ready to join the Congress in the presence of AICC president Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Telangana on October 20 and 27. 

They said that MLC Ramulu Naik, Nizamabad TRS leader Basanth Reddy and others are ready to join the Congress and are waiting for the permission of the AICC and promises on the tickets.

Speaking to the media at Delhi, Uttam said that the progress on the talks with the alliance partners has been explained to Core Committee members of the AICC. 

He said that the talks were going on the right direction and exuded confidence that the alliance against the TRS would take shape.
