Chase BJP leaders away
Kothagudem: In a significant development, that may have impact in the tribal areas of Kothagudem district also, the Maoists in the villages of Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh have called upon the people to chase away the BJP candidates seeking their votes.
Significantly, the BJP-ruled Chattisgarh is going to polls on November 12 and 20. The State has a sizable population of tribals. Posters and pamphlets in this regard surfaced at different places in Dantewada district on Monday. Describing the BJP as anti-people, anti-nation, Hindu fascist party working for the benefit of corporate houses, the Maoists wanted that party be rejected and elections boycotted.
Similarly, the Maoist party asked voters to question the leaders of other political parties in people's court, too. The pamphlets appealed to the people to support true democratic Janatana Sarkar for a peaceful life without suppression of security forces.
