Illegal structures razed by officials

Dundigal: The Revenue department officials of Dundigal and Gandimaisamma on Monday demolished illegal constructions in survey no 213 and 214 of Gagillapur. They used JCB machines to pull down the rooms which have been built on government land. The rooms were being sold for lakhs. The officials removed some basements in survey no 213.

Among the officials were VRO Renuka, VRAs Prakash, Srinu, who acted on the instructions of MRO Mallayya. The Revenue staff had collected information on unauthorised constructions from locals, before acting against them. Renuka held out a warning to encroachers of government lands, stating that the department would not be a silent spectator however strong and powerful they were.
