TRS has no right to ask for Muslim votes

Khammam: Congress Minority Cell chief Md. Baba Tajuddin on Tuesday said that the TRS deceived the Muslims with hollow promises made during 2014 Assembly elections and has no right to ask for Muslim votes in upcoming elections.

The District Minority Congress Committee leaders after paying tributes to the portrait of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, took out a rally from Congress Bhavan to Dharna chowk in protest against the TRS government in Khammam.

Speaking on the occasion, Md. Tajuddin alleged that before coming to power, the TRS party had promised the Muslim that it is going to allot 12 percent reservation in government jobs and educational institutes but after coming to the power it did not take any initiation for introducing a bill in Parliament by exerting pressure on the BJP government.

Now again with the same promise, caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and IT Minister KT Rama Rao are trying cheat the Muslims seeking their votes. The people must not believe in TRS party leaders and its candidates’ who are habituated to making hollow promises and forget them, he added.

He asked Muslims to teach a fitting lesson to the TRS party and give bumper majority to the Congress candidates in the upcoming elections as they always stood by the Muslims, he added.

The Congress party Minority Cell leaders Md. Ishaq, Chota Baba, Syed Fayad Khadri, Shaik Intiyaz, Abdul Nabi, SK Abbas, Mohammad, S K Nazeem, Johny, Bade Miya and Asif Rehaman and others took part in th programme.
