Laxman Aelay to demonstrate live art

Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, Gachibowli in association with The Asian Art House organising a preview of a specially curated selection of artworks by Laxman Aelay that will draw you into a realm of discovery. During the preview, Laxman Aelay will present a live art demonstration.

Born in 1964 at Kadirenigudem village of Telangana, Aelay Laxman is highly reputed artist for his contemporary depictions of the rural Telangana imagery. Like many other successful artists, he too started his artistic journey as a sign board artist and illustrator before coming to the mainstream art. 

He is Awarded PhD titled – ‘The Markandeya Puranam and the Nakashi Scroll Painting: A study of the oral, performative and visual traditions in South India’ in English and Foreign Languages University. Laxman’s vibrant quasi-realistic paintings and arduously drawn imagery evoke a sense of apprehension and nostalgia. His men and women in typical Telangana attire proclaim their cultural identity.
