Charminar: To facilitate easy access and to contain the problem of cash shortage in nearby ATMs, the Punjab National Bank (PNB) started providing mobile ATM services near Charminar. On Wednesday, a mobile ATM vehicle was seen standing in front of the Traffic ACP’s Office at the historic monument. The vehicle was arranged with an objective to help tourists. Several parts of roads surrounding Charminar were declared as part of pedestrian zone. The facility will now extended in the Old City with the opening up of the space.

It may be recalled that in early April, Chief Secretary SK Joshi inaugurated Punjab National Bank’s mobile ATM van service at the Secretariat to mark the PNB’s 124th foundation day. Rajeev Puri, PNB general manager, Telangana Circle, then said the mobile ATM was being introduced to meet the cash shortage in the state. The Chief Secretary thanked the bankers for introducing the facility.

The General Manager also assured that more such services would be introduced for the convenience of public throughout the state. Recently, PNB also took up several CSR activities like organizing blood donation camps, distribution of study material to students and other activities across different branches in the state.
