Announce Kodandaram as CM candidate: TJS cadre
Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) leaders expressed that if Prof Kodandaram is announced as the Chief Ministerial candidate then the party is happy to leave all seats except for Kodandaram's assembly segment to alliance partners.
The view was shared by majority at the TJS State committee meeting held here on Thursday.
Kodandaram should contest election at any cost to show the huge support and following he enjoys among Telangana masses for his unmatched and proactive role in realisation of Telangana statehood dream, they said.
The responsibility of finalising a constituency was left to Kodandaram himself.
The TJS leaders from ten districts who took part in the State committee meeting said that Kodandaram should head the alliance as public in all districts believe him, his candidature and credentials.
Some leaders expressed their displeasure at the way the Congress behaved in last few weeks making light of the TJS's strength, winning chances and election nominees by giving leaks to media.
