Cong stages protest over KCR’s failure to provide quota for Muslims
Hyderabad : The Congress party on Thursday organised yet another novel protest highlighting the failures of KCR government in implementing the promise of 12 per cent reservations for Muslims.
Led by TPCC Minorities Department chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail, hundreds of Congress activists gathered at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday at 12 noon and burnt 12 effigies of caretaker Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao to protest against the failure on the part of the Chief Minister to fulfil the promise of providing 12 per cent reservations for Muslims.
"Having cheated the Muslim community for four-and-a-half years on 12 per cent reservation issue, KCR had adopted a questionable silence on the issue. This showed that he was never serious on his promise.
