BJP is the only alternative to TRS in Telangana State

Update: 2018-10-27 05:30 IST

Warangal: BJP official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao has said it does not make any difference if people vote for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) or the Congress as both of them have similar record of doing nothing for the State.

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Krishan Sagar Rao asserted that BJP alone is the right alternative to the TRS that totally failed to develop the State.

With six weeks to go for the Assembly elections, the BJP leadership is all geared up to reach out to the people explaining the failures of the TRS government.

“The situation in the State is such that people who have been vexed with the failures of the TRS cannot see the Congress as an alternative. The Congress and the TRS are not trustworthy as they did nothing for the State during their regime,” Krishna Saagar Rao said, accusing both the parties of hoodwinking the people with corrupt politics.

With both the parties are full of turncoats, there is no guarantee of them continuing in the same party through which they were elected, he said, referring to the legislators who changed loyalties to the TRS.

BJP is the only party that people can rely on it to witness all-round development of the region, he said, accusing both the Warangal East and West MLAs - Konda Surekha and D Vinay Bhaskar – of failing to raise issues faced by the people in the Assembly.

“The much sought-after change for which people have been waiting for decades will only be possible by the BJP government. As many as 19 out of the 29 States are being ruled by the BJP,” Krishna Saagar Rao said.

It is going to be a disaster if people repose their faith in KCR who already proved himself as incompetent. The Maha Kutami (Grand Alliance) which is projecting itself as an alternative to the TRS should be treated as Telangana Vyatireka Kutami, he said, questioning the Congress’ rationale behind allying the Telugu Desam.

Further he predicted that the outcome of the December 7 elections could well be a death knell for TRS and the Congress chiefs - KCR and TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Krishna Saagar Rao found fault with the Congress for claiming credit for Telangana State. “The Congress forcibly merged Telangana with Andhra Pradesh in 1956. Since then there was a struggle for separate State and no less 2,000 people sacrificed their lives for the cause,” he said.

He said that people are aware of the pivotal role played by the BJP in the safe passage of separate State bill. In States ruled by the parties other than BJP, farmers are in dire straits. Farming community is doing well in BJP-ruled States, he said.

Referring to the BJP National President Amit Shah’s public meeting on October 28 as part of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM)’s three-day Maha Adhiveshan, Krishna Saagar appealed to BJP cadres to make it a big success.

Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma Reddy, senior leaders K Santhosh Reddy, Kotha Ravi, M Suresh, Kandagatla Satyanarayana, B Harish and P Suresh were among others present.
