Kakatiya University volleyball team for south zone tourney

Warangal: The women's volleyball team to represent Kakatiya University (KU) was finalised at the selections held here recently. The team will participate in the South Zone Inter University tournament to be held at Guntur from October 27 to 31, according to the Secretary, University Sports Board and Director, Physical Education, Prof. B Suresh Lal.

The team members are: M Kavitha (captain), D Jyothy, K Kavitha (Singareni Women’s College, Kothagudem), M Sirisha (Kakatiya Women’s College, Hanamkonda), B Tirumala, E Anusha (TSWRDC, Mancherial), P Kalpana (KDC, Hanamkonda), Sumathi (TSWRDC, Nirmal), Akhila (TSWRDC, Janagaon), G Divya (TSWRDC, Bhupalpally) and B Sravanthi, (Geetanjali Degree College, Hanamkonda). Ravinder (SR College, Hanamkonda) will be the coach-cum-manager of the team. KU Vice-chancellor R Sayanna and Registrar K Purushotham greeted the team members before they left for Guntur.
