Update: 2018-10-30 01:20 IST

Hyderabad : Caretaker Minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that even a child can easily predict that it would be the TRS who would win the next Assembly elections and K. Chandrashekhar Rao would become Chief Minister again.

Addressing a public meeting at Makthal on Monday, KTR said Mahabubnagar was the most neglected district of erstwhile undivided Andhra Pradesh. He said previous Congress and TDP regimes did nothing to construct irrigation projects in the district. He said despite being located on the banks of Krishna River, the district had no irrigation facilities. However, after TRS came to power, it initiated Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project to irrigate 8-9 lakh acres at a cost of Rs. 36,000 crore. He said the project would irrigate another 15 lakh aces on its full completion.

KTR said KCR had achieved Telangana State while representing the Mahabubnagar Lok Sabha constituency. Therefore, he said KCR had a special liking for Mahabubnagar and its people.

He described the alliance between Congress and TDP as unholy and warned that Mahabubnagar would be pushed into backwardness if the Grand Alliance wins elections.
