First-aid best help for injured person: Dr Rajesh

Khammam: Giving first aid to a person before taking him to doctor not only saves his life but also gives immense pleasure to those who render it, observed Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), district secretary  Dr Rajesh on Tuesday.

As part of National Service Scheme (NSS), the representatives of Red Cross Society organised a massive training programme for the students on giving first aid to the injured persons at Government Women’s Degree College in Khammam.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajesh explained the students about the aims, principles and objectives of the giving first aid treatment and how to treat the persons who will be in shock due unexpected incident that occur in their lives.

He also explained the students various methods such as anti- shock treatment, recovery position of persons who face accidents and how to treat patients who are facing difficulty in breathing etc.

Dr  Rajesh told the students about the services rendered by Florence Nightingale during the Second World War and the services that are provided on the behalf of Red Cross Society to the needy people.

The College Principle KSP Roy, programme officers M Azaad,  M Saraswathi, coordinator of RCS Ramana, Lions Club member Mallikarjun, coordinator SK Majeed, Dr Pichhaiah and NSS volunteers and students were present on the occasion.
