Harish Rao gets set for double hat-trick
Siddipet: The Grand Alliance is yet to field its candidate and other parties also have bleak chances, since is the stronghold of TRS party. According to political observers, Harish Rao may not face tough competition from the rival parties. He is all set to achieve double hat-trick.
ELECTORATE COMPOSITION
Total voters in the constituency are 2,05,802 where males number 1,02,403 and females 1,03,385. As far as community-wise vote share is concerned, Mudirajs form 12.81 percent, Madigas 11.43, Padmashalis 8.94, Muslims 8.55, Reddys 7.32 and Vysyas 4.09 percentage. Though their percentage is less in comparison with others, Vysyas have been influencing Siddipet election in a big way.
MAJOR AREAS
The constituency consists of Siddipet (urban), Siddipet(rural), Chinna Kodur and Nangunur mandals. Important places to visit are Komati Cheruvu Mini Tank Bund and Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Pullur in Siddipet mandal.
Harish Rao has a strong edge over rivals. Underground drainage works at an estimated cost of Rs 300 crore have been taken up. Construction of 2,000 2BHK houses is rapidly progressing. Komati Cheruvu mini tank bund has been developed as a major tourist attraction with open auditorium, open gyms, boats, adventure park, children’s playing equipment, ‘Love Siddipet’ logo spot etc. Siddipet is popularly known as a model for the prestigious ‘Mission Bhagiratha’ drinking water programme.
