Komati recalls Indira’s Garibi Hatao slogan

Nalgonda: Senior Congress leader and party MLA candidate from Nalgonda Assembly constituency Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi sacrificed her life for the nation and strived for the welfare of poor.

On Wednesday, Congress leaders and workers paid tributes to Indira Gandhi on her 34rth death anniversary in Nalgonda. After paying  floral tributes to the picture of late Indira Gandhi, Komatireddy remembered  Indira’s slogan Garibi Hatao and her programmes  towards the uplift of poor in the nation.

He asserted that, the bank services reached to poor after their nationalisation by Indira Gandhi who also constructed lakhs of houses across the nation during her regime.

He appealed to all the Congress leaders and workers to work hard ensure win in the Assembly elections and gift the victory of the party to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, who gave separate statehood to Telangana.

Meanwhile, under the leadership of ZPTC Srinivas Goud as many as 200 party workers of various parties  belonging to Turkapally, Hajalapuram and Lingotam of Kangal mandal   joined Congress in the presence of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy at his residence.

Amid of drum beats and dances of party workers Komatireddy carried out the election campaign at Madugulapally, Dacharam and Yellammagudem villages  and urged the people to bless him once again to make the constituency role model in the State.
