Sardar Patel anniversary celebrated

Kukatpalli: The BJP state committee secretary, Gnanedra Prasad, paid tributes to former Home Minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of his 143rd birth anniversary here at Nizampet. Prasad garlanded the statue and paid floral tributes to the leader. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the BJP, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, has honoured the great leader by constructing a 183 feet tall statue of the leader. 

He praised the role of Patel in achieving unified India post independence and remembered his key role in merging unwilling princely states, such as Junagadh and Hyderabad, with India. Post independence, Patel performed duties as the first home minister of India efficiently, he said. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists, BJP leaders and party workers, and others participated in the event.
