Cops arrest 20 customers, leave whine shop owners untouched

Miryalguda/ Arvapally: Implementing model code of conduct, police on Thursday conducted raids on bars and restaurants in Miryalguda violating rules and regulations, and took 20 persons into custody who were boozing at the illegal liquor shops in the town. The police booked no case against the liquor shop owners.

However in joint operation of Excise SI Shiva Prasad and Arvapally SI Lokesh, police seized illegal liquor at Timmapuram village of Arvapally mandal in Suryapet district and filed case on liquor seller Kaleru Ashok.
