TSRTC staff fume as Cooperative Credit Society loans delayed
Musheerabad: The president and secretary of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees’ association have demanded that the state government clear the pending Cooperative Credit Society (CCS) loan applications and to address the problems of the retired employees at the earliest. They spoke at a programme, in which a wall poster on the agitation to be taken up for the resolution of their issues was released here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, they said that the employees are in financial distress, as the loan applications have been kept pending since the last four months. As much as Rs 320 croresis yet to be released by the management, of which about Rs 150 crore is required for clearing CCS loans, they said. Retired employees who were not given the salaries of the strike period during ‘SakulaJanulaSamme’, should be given their pending salaries, they demanded.
Declaring time plan of the agitation, president of the association said that on October 5, employees would stage protests at their respective depots during lunch hour. If problems are still not addressed, employees will hold protests on October 12 at depot manager offices, president declared. He alleged that Telangana MazdoorUnion (TMU), a TRS affiliated union,was not initiating any measures for addressing the issues. He appealed the entire RTC employees to extend their cooperation to these protests by attending in large numbers. MD Ahmed Ali, D Gopal, CH Narasaiah, S Sai Reddy, Raghavulu, Murali and others were present.
