EC misleading the courts: Marri
Hyderabad: Congress Election Commission Coordination Committee chairman Marri Shashidhar Reddy on Tuesday alleged that the Election Commission of India has been misleading the courts. Addressing the media, he said that the EC has been murdering the democracy as it has been manipulating the voters list.
Instead of correcting the mistakes, it has been trying to justify them, he added. Shashidhar Reddy said that EC has become quite incompetent and it should give an explanation to people of the country as people have doubts on free and fair election.
He criticised that the EC has been working on the directions of the TRS and said that they have submitted fourth affidavit to the court on Tuesday. Meanwhile, AICC secretary Madhu Yashki Goud on Tuesday said that the results of the Karnataka bye-polls would be a turning point in the politics of the country. He said that they have reflected the anti-wave against the Modi government at the Centre.
Results of the elections in the five States would be similar, he predicted and said that grand alliance would win the next polls in Telangana. He suggested Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to decide whether to continue in politics or to take monkhood after December 11, when the results would be out. He alleged that the TRS chief was ready to spend Rs 10 crore in each Assembly constituency.
