Gaddar to go solo from KCR’s home turf
Hyderabad: Balladeer Gaddar hinted that he will contest as independent candidate from Gajwel assembly constituency from where Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Chief K Chandrashekar Rao is fighting the elections.
Speaking to media after meeting Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Rajat Kumar here, he said that his meeting with AICC president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi was only a courtesy call and there was no political talk as reported by the media. During his meeting with the Congress leaders, he explained the necessity of saving democracy and Constitution and also sang a few songs before them.
He did not join the Congress and will fight elections as independent candidate, Gaddar said. He will also embark on a campaign to create awareness on vote among people covering all SC and ST assembly constituencies first.
Gaddar said he has no idea of the total number of criminal cases booked against him in the country. A few cases were registered against him during the peace talks between naxals and AP government and unveiling of memorial withdrawn recently, he added.
