Narketpally (Nalgonda): The Congress party on Friday faced a peculiar situation when none other than senior Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy raised the banner of revolt against the party high command Rahul Gandhi for not giving ticket to fight election to his disciple and former MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah from Nakrekal constituency. Komatireddy questioned the party high command’s logic of giving sacrifice in the name of sacrifice for coalition terms and conditions.

Threatening the party leadership
Komatireddy made a sensational comment that he will not contest in the election if party high command denies ticket to Chirumarthi Lingaiah from Nakrekal constituency.

On Friday, addressing the protesting party leaders and workers at Narketpally, Komati demanded the party high command to rethink over the decision.

He further said his supporters across the State will defeat the Congress main leaders if party failed to provide MLA ticket to Chirumarhi Lingaiah from Nakrekal reserved constituency , he emphasized.

He informed that Telangana Inti party, which got a seat as a partner of Grand Alliance (Mahakutami) and likely to contest from Nakrekal is a single person’s party and does not have either leaders or cadre in the constituency to face the formidable TRS.

Further, he advised Congress leaders and cadre to go ahead with canvassing and exuded confidence that the party will allocate ticket to Lingaiah to drive away criminal attitude of TRS MLA candidate from Nakrekal Vemula Veeresham.

Congress workers and supporters of Komatireddy brothers and Lingaiah of Nakrekal constituency expressed their concern over the party's decision and opined that the Congress will lose winning seat if Nakrekal seat is allocated to the cadreless Mana Inti Party.

Meanwhile, political analysts opined that Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has been raising his voice against the high command over intentional delay in announcement of Munugodu MLA ticket to his brother MLC Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy.
