Kutami ticket aspirants on tenterhooks
Secunderabad: Addagutta is a unique centre in the constituency, from where many parties kick-start their campaigns. But this time, TRS candidate Padma Rao started his election campaign from Parsigutta and is planning to end it at Addagutta. The Candidate from Bahujan Left Front (BLF), Kuncharapu Anil Kumar, started his campaign from here.
The aspirant from Congress party, Banda Karthika Reddy, TPCC General Secretary Adam Santhosh Kumar, Congress State Secretary Palle Lakshman Rao also vigorously campaigned in Addagutta. But, rumours spread that the Secunderabad seat is allotted to Telugu Desam Party as part of Grand Alliance. Shocked by the development, aspirants from Congress Party halted their campaign and made rounds to Gandhbhavan demanding that the seat should be allotted to them only. Some aspirants are contemplating to cross the lines if ticket is allotted to TDP. It is said that former corporator of Boudhanagar and Mettuguda, Adam Umadevi and her husband Santosh Kumar are in touch with BJP high command.
On the other hand, Bandapalli Sathish, the vice-president of greater BJP, has been trying for the ticket for six years. He completed the first round of campaign. He also inaugurated BJP offices at Tukaram Gate, Namalagundu. Though the ticket from Grand Alliance has not been decided yet, speculations are rife that the ticket will be given to TDP.
