Waste-to-energy plant in the works
Hyderabad: Nettlinx Limited is set to partner with Japanese investment firms - Takara Leben Co. Ltd. (Takara Leben) & Kuni Umi Asset Management Company Ltd. (Kuni Umi). Both the Japanese companies plan to jointly invest up to 30 per cent of equity in the SV Green “12 MW WTE Power plant” and are considering the follow-up investments in other NETTLINX Green Energy WTE power projects planned across the country, with an average investment of around Rs.260 crore per project.
The proposed plant will be built by SV Green with technical collaboration with world leader in WTE sector “Hitachi Zosen”, which has a track record of operating around 900 plants across the world. The upcoming plant which will convert the GHMC waste into energy is being developed in the GHMC south zone located about 50 km from the Telangana State Secretariat. The project will be operational in about 18-24 months. Presently, SVGreen has acquired suitable land, obtained necessary statutory clearances and approvals from TSPCB, TSREDCO, TSERC, Municipal Department and other agencies.
