Harish dubs TDP-Congress alliance unholy

Ibrahimpatnam: Caretaker Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao here on Saturday wondered how AP Chief Minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu can seek votes in Telangana State while opposing the construction of irrigation projects in the State. He assured the people that Rachakonda lift irrigation project would be completed at any cost.

Addressing a public meeting here, Harish Rao launched a scathing attack on Naidu for trying to undermine the interests of Telangana State by forging an unholy alliance with the latter’s arch rival, the Congress party. He appealed to the people to be wary of Naidu as he has been stalling the growth of Telangana State.

“Chandrababu, who had written letters to then Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi against Telangana projects, including Dindi, Palamur and others, now coming for votes in the guise of Mahakutami,” he pointed out.

However, the people are not ready to thrust Naidu, a proven traitor of Telangana. Naidu has been hatching conspiracies against Telangana development and irrigation projects which was known to people. Now the TDP chief is blatantly trying to fund the Congress-led Mahakutami in the forthcoming elections, he said. Giving votes to the Mahakutami will endanger the Telangana development as it bowed before Naidu for money for the polls, he alleged.

The Congress leaders lined up in Delhi to meet with Naidu when he was in the national capital and the Congress failed to take a call on the seat-sharing. The Congress-led alliance has no right to seek votes while being at the mercy of Chandrababu, he said. He asked the people to vote for KCR leadership and give a robust mandate and help complete the Rachakonda, Palamur and Dindi and other irrigation projects to turn the State green. The people should reject the Congress and TDP as their bosses are in Delhi and Amaravati, he added.
