KCR to finalise campaign details after Mahakutami list is out
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will take a call on his campaign schedule only after the announcement of candidates by Mahakutami, sources close to the party said.
According to sources, the TRS president has come to a conclusion on the schedule of his campaign but is waiting for the Mahakutami to announce the candidates. The caretaker Chief Minister was to give his schedule details to the party leaders during the Sunday’s meeting, but he may not because the Mahakutami is yet to announce the candidates list, said a senior TRS leader.
Sources also said that the caretaker Chief Minister may not campaign in 100 constituencies as decided earlier. The TRS leader said that the Chief Minister would take up campaign as per old districts and would choose the constituencies where the party candidate is weak compared to the opposition candidate. “Sir is busy with his calculations and has asked us not to go blindly and concentrate on constituencies where the party is lagging behind,” said the TRS leader.
The Chief Minister would address one public meeting for entire GHMC candidates. There are 24 constituencies under GHMC and the TRS is planning for one meeting with all the candidates and this would be held during the last leg of the campaign. In districts, Ministers K T Rama Rao and Harish Rao are already campaigning and addressing public meetings, road shows apart from the door to door campaign.
The TRS president would address the party candidates at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday after distributing the B-Forms. The TRS chief would administer oath to the candidates and they would also be given necessary instructions on how to go ahead in the campaign as they would have to face opposition leaders, sources said.
The TRS president would be filing nominations on November 14 as it is Karthika Shudha Saptami on that day. He would first perform special pooja at a temple in Konaipally village in Nangunuru mandal in Siddipet district and later visit RDO office in Gajwel at 11.23 am to file his nomination papers. He would later address a public meeting in the open grounds at Sangapur Road.
The TRS chief on Sunday would address a meeting of the party workers in Gajwel on Sunday. He would address the meeting at 12 noon near his Farm House at Eravelli.
