Angry over leadership, 200 TRS activists join Congress
Karimnagar: Unable to bear the torture and monarchism of a few of TRS leaders and also attracted towards the Congress, many of TRS activists were joining the Congress, stated TPCC working president and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar. As many as 200 TRS youth activists of 25th division had joined the Congress under the leadership of Kolipaka Sandeep in the presence of Ponnam Prabhakar at his camp office here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, K Sandeep alleged that there is no recognition for the hard workers and division-level leaders in the TRS and some of the district-level leaders were trying to suppress the cadre and division-level leaders, who had good influence among the people.
In the name of development, the TRS leaders are trying to loot the public money and if anybody question them, they are exerting pressure through various means. The TRS is boasting that it had introduced several welfare schemes but the party leaders themselves are creating hurdles in taking those schemes to the common people. Then what is the use of introducing such schemes? he questioned.
K Sandeep said that they know that it was Congress who gave Telangana. “We have confidence in the party and hence the youth and TRS activists are joining the Congress and will extend our support to Congress aspirant Ponnam Prabhakar,” he added.
Youth leaders Regonda Sandeep, Purna Santhosh, Mahesh, Ravi Teja, Sai Ram, Raju, Kuna Sandeep, Nikhil, Santhosh Goud and Nerella Shiva were among those who joined the Congress along with others.
