10 nominations filed on first day
Nalgonda/ Suryapet/ Bhongir: With filing of 10 nominations by the candidates of different political parties, the nomination process started in erstwhile Nalgonda district on Monday.
On day one, as many as 10 nominations were filed in erstwhile Nalgonda district which has 12 Assembly segments. As per the official information, in Surypet district, no one filled nominations for Huzurnagar and Tungaturthi constituencies, whereas, for Suryapet constituency Limgidi Venkateshwarlu of Aam Aadmi Party, so also for Kodad, independent candidate Pandipedda Tirupataiah filed his nomination to the returning officer.
In Yadadri- Bhongir district, no nominations filed for Bhongir Assembly constituency, whereas for Aler constituency, Budida Bixamaiah Goud and Budida Suvarna of Congress and TRS candidate Gongidi Sunitha filed nominations to the returning officer in Aler.
In Nalgonda district, two independent candidates Lalu Naik of Damarcharla mandal, Sunku Srinivasulu of Miryalguda town filed nominations for Miryalguda constituency.
BJP candidate Gongidi Manohar Reddy and independent candidate Palvai Shravan filed their nominations from Munugodu constituency to the returning officer in Chandur.
Meanwhile, retired IAS officer Cholleti Prabhaker filed nomination as an independent candidate from Nalgonda Assembly constituency. No nominations were filed from Devarakonda, Nagarjuna Sagar and Nakrekall constituencies.
