Karimnagar: The members of All India Vishwa Karma Parishad (AIVKP) declared that their community people across the State will not vote for the TRS candidates and strive hard to defeat the TRS by extending their support to the candidates of Mahakutami.

Speaking at a meeting with the representatives of AIVKP held at Press Bhavan here on Thursday, AIVKP State president Shivunipalli Rajesham said that people of Vishwa Karma community strived hard and played a key role in achieving separate Statehood for Telangana by participating actively in Telangana Movement. Prof Jayashankar and Srikantha Chary, who belong to Vishwa Karma community, sacrificed their lives for separate Telangana State along with thousands of Vishwa Karma people.

But after achieving separate Telangana Stae, the TRS government neglected the people of the community and did nothing for their wellbeing, he alleged.

By encouraging multinational organisations to establish their companies across the State, the TRS government made the life of Vishwa Karma people miserable, who are now fighting to survive coming under the effect of multinational companies. By not allotting TRS ticket to Srikantha Chary’s mother Eshwaramma from Huzurnagar, caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao insulted not only her but the entire Vishwa Karma community.

Vishwa Karma community district president K Satyanarayana said that they are extending their support to Congress candidate Ponnam Prabhakar and will play a key role in his victory in the coming Assembly elections.

AIVKC representatives Varahala Chary, P Madhava Chary, A Thirupathi, K Kumara Swamy, G Gangadhar, V Shankara Chary and K Ramana Chary were present at the meeting.
