Drive against dengue

Sangareddy: NGOs CARPED, Sri Lakshminarayana Sankshema Sangham and Medak Alliance of Voluntary Agencies (MEWA) on Friday, coinciding with the Children’s Rights Protection Week, distributed homeopathy medicine – to arrest the fast-spreading cases of dengue in the town and district. The volunteers of the three organisations distributed medicines to 1,300 students of the Government Girls High School and the teaching staff near the old bus-stand in the town. Dr M S Chandra, director of CARPED, informed the students that everyone could take the medicine for three days as there would be no side-effects. 

Dr Shilpa Mudiraj, director, Lakshminarayana Sankshema Sangham, stated that the organisation has targeted to cover 20,000 persons as the fever has been spreading fast. Among those present were school headmaster Rajitha Leela, teachers, staff members of the three organisations, Shaheen, Prasanna and Mamatha.
