Eatala Rajender confident of TRS win
Huzurabad: The credit for providing 24-hour uninterrupted power to farming sector goes to the TRS government, said caretaker Finance Minister Eatala Rajender here on Friday.
The Minister along with MP Vinod Kumar was participating in ‘Atmeeya Sammelanam.’ Over 5,000 people participated in the meeting held in a private function hall at Indiranagar under Huzurabad Mandal.
Speaking at the meeting, Rajender said that “when the TRS government decided to supply 24-hour power to farming sector, some asked us what benefit we will get by providing round-the-clock power to the farmers. We told them that we wanted to help the farmers.”
He said there was considerable improvement in the agriculture sector after Telangana gained statehood. Irrigation projects and Mission Kakatiya helped the farmers. Water was flowing in canals only after separate Telangana State was formed, he said.
As many as 19 check dams were constructed in the Huzurabad constituency for supplying water for irrigation. He recalled that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had introduced Rythu Bandhu to help farmers come out of crisis. Apart from it, the government had also introduced Rytu Bheema for farmers.
“I will file my nomination papers on November 19. I appeal to you to cast your votes to me and help develop the constituency in all respects,” said Rajender. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will visit the constituency on November 20.
