Jalagam Venkat Rao files nomination for Kothagudem Assembly seat

Kothagudem: TRS candidate for Kothagudem Assembly seat Jalagam Venkat Rao filed his nomination papers on Friday without fanfare and huge rally that is usually a part of many contestants filing their nominations. 

Venkat Rao started from his camp office in an auto rickshaw along with his followers at noon. He offered pujas in Ganesh temple with the nomination papers. The temple priests gave their blessings to Jalagam. 

He also paid homage to Telangana martyrs at their memorial at the RTC bus stand. He later reached the RDO office and submitted four sets of nomination papers.

On Friday, as many as 15 candidates filed their nominations for five Assembly seats. S Hanumantha Rao of Pyramid Party, N Shanker of BSP, independents Sk Azeem, V Ramakrishna, H Sathish and E Vamshikrishna filed nominations for the Kothagudem seat.

Similarly, CPM candidate S Koteswara Rao filed nomination papers for Bhadrachalam seat and Tennem Ravinder of CPM submitted nomination for Aswaraopet seat on Friday.
