Khammam: By developing scientific temper, the students must lay foundations for new inventions, advised  District Collector R V Karnan inaugurating the  46th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition organised here at Telangana Social Welfare Residential School in Tekulapalli mandal on Friday.

Addressing the students, Karnan said, “according to the Constitution of India, every citizen of India has equal rights and responsibilities. With new inventions in the field of science and technology and with the science fairs, we can get rid of superstitions that are still prevailing in our society.”

Science fairs not only help students to develop scientific temper in students but also enable the teachers to encourage students to invent new things. The students must also observe the exhibits of other school students and interact with them which helps them find new friends, he added,

The students must not get restricted to the district level, they must try to participate in various science fairs along with their exhibits conducted at State and national level and bring name and fame to the district, he suggested.
