Quthbullapur: Following the item published in The Hans India on November 16 (Landsharks devouring Quthbullapur), members of the Wakf Board on Sunday visited Gajularamaram survey numbers 333, 334 while works were going on using JCBs. They took photographs and inspected the Wakf lands. The board members told The Hans India that some persons after creating fake documents on the Wakf lands were resorting to land-grabbing, showing the cancelled occupation rights certificates. They stated that the board would take a decision on the issue and register cases.

The Wakf Board officials who visited the spot included Executive Officer Shareef Khan, Inspector Auditor, Medchal, Basha Khayyum Khan and Surveyor Mohd. Sujath Ali Khan. Referring to the Wakf lands in Gajulararam, the board officials noted that while lands existed in survey numbers 41, 42, 43, 47, 105, 115, in the case of survey number 105, occupation right certificate had been issued. The board had filed a petition to vacate ORC. It was taking care to prevent issuance of ORC pertaining to other survey numbers. The Wakf Board members warned that land-grabbing would not be tolerated.
